Hi. I'm Dejan.

Software engineer/manager with a side quest in writing...

I'm a computer science graduate. I'm a father of two. Currently, I work as Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft. I mostly write short stories and, so far, have one published novel. I'm a certified Scrum Master, but I'm not dogmatic about any particular methodology. Once, I wrote a "temporary" backend service that quietly ran in production for six months without a restart. I enjoy sharing knowledge through presentations, workshops, mentorship programs, and online communities. I'm happily married to a teacher who cooks like a chef. I'm proud of my father, a retired army general who defies all the usual stereotypes of that role. I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan. Also, a shameless music hoarder. According to Last.fm, I've listened to Thievery Corporation over 3500 times since 2006. I used to train handball and dance in a folklore ensemble. I once scored a goal against a professional futsal team. My first car was a yellow Yugo. My first computer was a Commodore 64. I don't argue on the Internet. But unfortunately, I've spent the last 25+ years protesting in the streets of Serbia against various authoritarian systems. I didn't code this website as there are tools for that (never write code you don't have to!).
